Pathway to Success in Cancer Treatment
This report summarizes insights from a multi-stakeholder working session held at the European Parliament in April 2024 on readiness for radioligand therapies (RLTs) in Europe. As cancer incidence rises, RLTs offer targeted treatment potential but face significant system-level barriers. The report identifies five critical enablers of RLT capacity: diagnostics and imaging access, patient referral pathways, treatment center infrastructure, regulatory and radiation safety frameworks, and workforce availability. It highlights wide variation across European countries in access to imaging, trained specialists, inpatient capacity, and reimbursement models, leading to unequal patient access.
