This independent NSS Labs report evaluates the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange (ZTE) using an updated Security Service Edge (SSE) threat protection methodology that measures malware detection, exploit prevention, evasion resistance, and false positive accuracy. ZTE achieved an overall Security Effectiveness score of 98.85%, blocking 99.05% of exploits, 98.65% of malware, and 100% of tested evasion techniques while maintaining a 99.63% false positive accuracy. Based on testing against thousands of malware samples, exploits, evasions, and legitimate files, the report concludes that ZTE delivers consistent cloud-native threat protection, strong inspection capabilities, reliable performance, and comprehensive Zero Trust security for modern enterprise environments.
