This report compares seven Security Service Edge products using real-world attack testing across malware, exploits, evasions, TLS/SSL inspection, and false positive accuracy. The test evaluated 205 exploits, 6,184 malware samples, 1,154 evasions across 37 categories, and 1,514 legitimate files and applications. Results show major differences among vendors, with only four earning a Recommended rating. Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange achieved 100% security effectiveness and 99.87% false positive accuracy, while other products varied widely in performance. The report stresses that enterprises should validate SSE tools with adversarial testing, prioritize transparency, and use independent results to avoid false confidence.
