The Transponder Mode Signal Generator requires a 5‑minute warm‑up to meet specifications. It provides a 1030 MHz interrogation frequency with ±10 kHz accuracy. RF output at the antenna port is automatically controlled, delivering MTL + 6 dB typically, with a range of –67 to –2 dBm, 0.5 dB resolution, and ±2 dB accuracy. Using the supplied antenna, it supports distances of 6 to 200 ft to the UUT. The RF I/O connector also outputs MTL + 6 dB, with a –115 to –47 dBm range and accuracy of ±1 dB above –95 dBm or ±2 dB below. ATCRBS/SIF/Mode S interrogation pulse spacing includes P1–P2 at 2.00 µs and P1–P3 at 3.00, 5.00, or 8.00 µs depending on the mode.
