The FTH‑5000 combines OTDR and optical‑switch technology to continuously monitor multiple fibers anywhere in the network. A single unit can test up to 48 fibers of 100 km or more while occupying only one‑third of a rack unit. It delivers full OTDR and switch functionality in a compact footprint, supporting point‑to‑point and point‑to‑multipoint architectures. The remaining rack space can host Test Access Point modules to monitor in‑service fibers or expand switching capacity. The FTH‑5000 validates new builds and alerts users to any degradation when the network is live, ensuring fast detection and high service reliability.
