The VIAVI MAP‑200 is an optical test and measurement platform designed for cost‑effective development and manufacturing of optical transmission network components. It supports three mainframe configurations and is GPIB‑ and LXI‑compliant for flexible connectivity. An optional 10.4‑inch touch‑screen display with keypad and scroll wheel enhances usability, while DVI and USB ports allow use of external peripherals. Modules can be hot‑swapped safely, and the controller/power‑supply module is field‑replaceable. Fully compatible with existing MAP modules, the MAP‑200 enables testing of transceivers, transponders, and a wide range of passive and active optical components, including lasers.
