This brochure explains FirstWave’s Network Performance Enforcement approach using Secure Traffic Manager to improve WAN utilization while maintaining predictable application performance. STM sits inline with network traffic and combines real-time visibility, control, security, and policy enforcement. Administrators can allocate bandwidth by user, host, application, geography, MPLS label, or custom group, while deep packet inspection identifies applications and supports DDoS and botnet mitigation. STM analyzes traffic through dozens of metrics, offers historical visibility, automated alerts, API integration, and configurable QoS policies. Hardware options scale from smaller deployments to STM-100G, supporting up to 100 Gbps throughput and 60 million concurrent flows.
