The Traffic Storage Agent (TSA) for NITRO Core passively monitors control‑ and user‑plane IP traffic and TDM to generate SMARTmetrics covering network, service, and customer KPIs. These metrics can be fed into NITRO Core or third‑party KPI systems. TSA also captures and indexes control‑plane traffic for fast retrieval during transaction‑level troubleshooting. Using VIAVI‑patented technology, it enables near‑real‑time capture, storage, and retrieval of control‑plane messages, generates CP/UP KPIs, identifies user‑plane applications, assesses end‑user QoE, and delivers performance and QoE insights more efficiently than traditional assurance tools.
