Planon’s IWMS software helped Tegel Projekt GmbH digitalise building operations at the former Tegel Airport site by integrating Disruptive Technologies’ sensors with a central facilities platform. The solution collected real‑time data on occupancy, temperature, and energy use from 60 existing buildings, including 12 listed structures, and fed it into Planon’s system for analysis and automated workflows. This enabled property managers to identify inefficiencies, optimise maintenance schedules, and improve space utilisation across the 1,235‑acre Berlin TXL site. By linking sensor data with asset and work‑order information, Planon supported a more efficient, data‑driven approach to managing legacy buildings during the transition to their new urban‑district use.
