Planon’s software enabled TU/e to tackle the challenge of rising student numbers and shrinking space by significantly improving room and workspace utilisation. Through the “Book My Space” project, Planon integrated meeting‑room and space data into a central platform, automating bookings, detecting no‑shows, and unlocking underused areas for shared use across faculties. Real‑time dashboards and self‑service tools helped staff and students reserve spaces more efficiently, reducing empty bookings and double allocation. By linking data from the timetable system with live occupancy insights, Planon helped TU/e increase utilisation from 46% toward more optimal levels, supporting flexible, space‑conscious campus operations.
