Myway Plus Corporation validated Altair’s coupled PSIM–SimLab workflow to improve thermal management of silicon carbide inverters. Accurate heat-loss estimation and airflow modeling were critical to preventing thermal runaway and over-designed cooling systems. PSIM calculated temperature-dependent power losses, which were fed into SimLab for detailed CFD and conjugate heat-transfer analysis. Simulation results closely matched thermocouple measurements from physical testing. This high-fidelity workflow allowed Myway to detect overheating risks early, reduce physical prototypes, shorten development cycles, and deliver safer, more cost-effective inverter designs for EV charging and energy management systems.
