Reinventing Retail Supply Chain Management for Enhanced Delivery and Redefined Operational Efficiency
This 2024 case study describes how a 57-year US grocery chain with 570+ stores improved supply chain execution by giving store and warehouse teams real-time visibility into purchase orders and deliveries, reducing stockouts and operational friction. After discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews, Brillio built an interactive web store portal that tracks procurement status from suppliers to warehouses and between warehouses, using grouping and scheduling algorithms based on store clusters and regions. The solution integrated a purchase order management capability for warehouse scheduling, added a transfer-order algorithm to move inventory between warehouses based on availability, and delivered dashboards that show appointment status across supply chain nodes with customizable views.
