This datasheet describes the Keysight AP5001A, a compact analog RF signal generator offered with frequency coverage from 9 kHz to 2, 4, or 6.1 GHz. It provides 0.001 Hz frequency resolution, 0.1-degree phase adjustment, 200 µs settling, low phase noise, 68 fs RMS total jitter, and an externally lockable reference. Output power reaches as high as +17 dBm, while the optional attenuator expands the lower range to -130 dBm with 0.01 dB resolution. The instrument supports frequency, power, and list sweeps plus AM, FM, phase, pulse, and combined modulation. Reverse-power protection, low harmonics, SCPI control, USB, LAN, GPIB, touchscreen operation, and desktop or rack formats make it suitable for receiver testing, RF component validation, education, manufacturing, and automated test systems.
