This datasheet describes the Keysight N4917DJCA application for automated optical receiver sensitivity and jitter-tolerance testing of 800 Gb/s and 1.6 Tb/s Ethernet transceivers. The software coordinates a BERT, arbitrary waveform generator, interference source, optical reference transmitter, tunable laser, attenuator, and sampling oscilloscope to generate and calibrate standards-compliant PAM4 stressed eyes. It supports selected 100G, 200G, 400G, 800G, and 1.6T interfaces under IEEE 802.3cu, 802.3db, 802.3cn, and 802.3dj.
