UCHealth implemented Amplifire to train 6,876 patient-facing staff on de-escalation techniques for behavioral health scenarios. The platform uncovered widespread knowledge gaps, with more than 60% of staff holding confidently incorrect beliefs about managing aggressive patients. After correcting over 41,000 instances of misinformation and achieving full proficiency, measurable outcomes improved significantly. As shown on page 9, workplace violence incidents decreased by 34%, restraint utilization dropped by 11%, and staff confidence increased by 5%. The case demonstrates how targeted, data-driven learning can directly improve staff safety, reduce risk, and enhance patient care without introducing new tools or processes.
