Ronald McDonald House Chicago Surpasses Its Fundraising Goal by 36%
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana launched a 2024 out-of-home campaign to raise awareness and donations for families with hospitalized children. The organization operates six Ronald McDonald Houses, four Family Rooms, and a Care Mobile program, helping families remain close to medical care while saving more than $12 million annually in hotel and food expenses. Placements near McDonald’s restaurants and along commuter and purchase routes promoted the Round-Up for RMHC program, which had a $2.5 million fundraising goal. The campaign helped sustain higher website traffic and generated $3.4 million in donations. With an average round-up of $0.43 per transaction, funds increased 71% over 2023 and exceeded the campaign goal by 36%.
