German pharmaceutical manufacturer Wiewelhove replaced its aging Citrix terminal-server environment with Omnissa Horizon and App Volumes to support 400 users and more than 40 applications. The previous platform suffered performance bottlenecks, poor Microsoft Teams multimedia performance, growing administrative effort, and unpredictable annual license negotiations. Working with Global Information Distribution, Wiewelhove implemented Horizon on a Dell VxRail cluster with NVIDIA GPUs and moved from Windows Server 2016 to Windows 11. DMS, ERP, Teams, and other applications now run more smoothly, while employees experience fewer interruptions.
