Energy Server With Heat Capture: Power & Steam
This solution datasheet explains how the Bloom Energy Server with Heat Capture combines solid oxide fuel cell power generation with steam production for combined heat and power applications. The system converts natural gas, biogas, hydrogen, or blended fuels to electricity and captures high-grade exhaust heat from approximately 800°C fuel cell operation to generate process or district-heating steam. Bloom positions the configuration as a way to reduce utility costs, infrastructure needs, backup systems, emissions, and total cost of ownership while improving resilience. A 1.3 MW platform can produce 1,724 lb/hr of steam at 5 barg or 1,484 lb/hr at 15 barg, with modular configurations scaling to 41.6 MW. It can operate grid-parallel, as a microgrid, or as an off-grid system.
