The Bloom Electrolyzer™
This brochure introduces the Bloom Electrolyzer, a solid oxide electrolysis system designed for efficient, scalable green hydrogen production. The system operates at high temperature and is stated to produce 20–30% more hydrogen per kilowatt-hour than other technologies. Its standard 1.2 MW block generates about 280 metric tons of hydrogen annually and can be combined or vertically stacked to meet larger requirements. A demonstrated 4 MW installation produced 2.4 metric tons per day at 37.5 kWh/kg system efficiency. The design uses less water than competing technologies, avoids reliance on rare metals such as iridium and platinum, produces oxygen-free hydrogen without downstream deoxygenation, and can use industrial steam.
